“Breakfast is very important. It’s the most important meal of the day”

(Paul Stanley, 1987) _

Right, but dinner is pure pleasure

(always with a glass of red wine).

I LOVE TO EAT!

You have no idea how much I love it and how much is important for me!

One of the greatest things of life.

Anywhere I go, I have my favorite places. No fancy stuff here, though.

You won’t find a list of the nicest, coolest hippest restaurants of this

crazy planet... Just great FOOD, made with love and passion!

So, check these out (and, sorry for the vegetarians out there...):

Tinto and  Amada in Philadelphia have both amazing menus!

I was stunned.

...

The whole menu at Whisknladle in La Jolla, San Diego

...

Try everything at James in Brooklyn, NY.

...

Any croissant at Pasticceria Grassi in Sesto S. Giovanni, Italy

(eat them with Cappuccino and see how fast they are)

...

Fig & Olive in the Meatpacking is awesome!

...

Pancakes at Rose Water, Park Slope, Brooklyn

...

Di Fara’s Pizza in Midwood, Brooklyn

(THE BEST PIZZA I HAVE EVER HAD!)

...

If you’re lucky enough to be in Barcelona:

try everything at “La Barca Del Pescador” (the Chipirones.. Mmmmm)

Draft beer and solomillo with fois gras at Vaso De Oro

Tuna tartare at Cal Pep (not good for your arteries but who cares?)

...

In Madrid, The Bocaito (de puta madre!)

and the amazing tomato carpaccio at El Lando’ _

(I want my picture on their wall!)

...

Jamon Serrano, Pata Negra, anywhere in Spain

...

Pastrami sandwich at Katz’s, Lower East Side, NYC

(Katz is THE Pastrami Sandwich!)

...

Plzensky Prazdroj Beer at Kolkovna Pub in Prague

...

Douzo Restaurant, Boston, MA (AmazinG)

...

Steak Fromage at Sparks in NYC (heart attack)

...

Best burgers in NY? Burger Joint, Corner Bistro and PJ Clarke’s.

Don’t bother to try more.

...

In Reggio Emilia you should try Erbazzone (my Granny’s was the best ever)

...

Thumbs up to a couple of polish restaurants:

Warsaw’s Belvedere

(eating surrounded by REAL greenery,

not the fake one of the Rain Forest Cafes...)

and the kitschy yet delicious Jewish restaurant Anatewka in Lodtz.

...

For something sweet try Baby Watson Cheesecake on 8th Avenue, NYC

Sacher torte at Sacher Cafe’ in Vienna, Austria

Pumpkin pie, anywhere in the U.S. at Thanksgiving

Aebleskiver at Christmas time, anywhere in Danmark

(eat them on the frozen streets, with strawberry jam and sugar)

...

and of course, my father’s cake and cookies

(I can make ‘em for you, if I like you)

So good...
