I was raised in a troubled country in one of its darkest period.

My beloved rock music was loud, but not enough to cover the blasts of the bombs and the shots of the guns.

I was badly missing my Dark Knight to save my country from the evil guys.

When I realized this would have never happened, I moved to the real Gotham City, where I now live and work.

I've been a 1st AD for 5 years, but when I figured out I wasn't good enough, I swapped to directing,

(which is a lot easier and so much fun).

I love post production when it's serving the idea and the story,

but casting and locations always make the film.

They really do.

I was born on August 15th 1969.

That day, in Woodstock, NY, Jimi Hendrix, Santana, Janis Joplin, The Who

and a bunch of other “sinners” performed in front of a crowd of 500,000 souls,

as everybody was dancing, making love and getting lost in the mud.

Kudos to the great casting directors and location managers I have worked with, my crews, my DPs,

my costume and set designers, all the producers and creatives

without whom I would be just a graduated Architect.

But most of all, kudos to my father, who taught me what good movies are without knowing why.

Since September 2007, I am a proud member of the Directors Guild of America.

I’m still waiting for Batman.

In my country it was just another boring religious holiday celebrating... the Virgin Mary.

Yep. I was a fish out of water...
